A Provider of Innovation
Despite her lack of direct contribution to the civil war, Florence Nightingale was a great nurse. She was an inspiration to many of the other nurses who had helped in the civil war, as she essentially reinvented medicine and helped plenty of hospitals become safer and more cleaner environments. She was also a major help in the Crimean War, and many soldiers called her the Lady with the Lamp.
